Weekend at Winter Wonderland

We had one of the best weekends ever! We drove up to Barlett, NH and met up with my friend Darren and his wife Jinny and their two kids to spend the weekend there to ski. We also brought Jamie with us because he's a ski fanatic.

The pictures are posted on our Facebook pages.

We stayed at a condo in Bartlett that was only a few minutes from Wildcat and Cranmore ski resorts. Bartlett is a small little ski town surrounded by New Hampshire's White Mountains. It's about a 3 hr drive from Boston. When we arrived, we immediately hit the slopes at Cranmore for night skiing.

It was totally empty and the condition was "ok". But while I was racing with Jamie, I took a pretty rough fall and ended up slamming the side of my face on a hard surface. Luckily, I wasn't injured. Afterwards, we drove over to a beautiful villa where you can ice skate and drink free hot chocolate! It was like an authentic Christmas village or something. It was just majestic.

The next day though was simply amazing. It snowed all day. The storm dropped a foot of snow and we skiied at Wildcat with fresh powder that was about knee high. Jamie, a long time skier even said, "this was the best day ever!"

To top it all off, we came back to our condo and jumped right into a hot tub to heal our sore bodies. Jinny whipped up delicious dinner for two nights and we capped the night off by playing Wii and Hearts.

All of us agreed to make this our annual tradition.
